How do you see yourself? If you had to describe an ideal photograph of yourself, what would you say?
There's no "right" answer, because we're all individuals.
You're unique. Original. One of a kind, a classic, special... and for you, a cookie-cutter shoulders-and-above portrait just won't do. You need something that brings out your personality, taste and individuality.That's why when you choose blink studio for your photographs, you won't get an indoor studio with lights and three backgrounds. You get to choose your location, whether it be your back yard, a park, a neat alley down on Main Street, a friend's house, the junkyard, whatever you want. After all, your photo shoot is about you. Dress to the nines, wear jeans, bring your own props... it's all about individuality, and that means possibilites and flexibility. And of course, if you want to be in the comfort of your own home with a plain white or black background with natural lighting, we can do that too.


Booking your session:
Scheduling a session is simple. You can contact me via email or give me a call- either way works for me! We'll start with you telling me what type of session you're needing, then we'll talk about days and times that will work out for us both. You'll need to think of where you want your session to take place so if there's availability issues (or less busy times of day for more public locations) we can work with those. You will also want to consider clothing changes- make sure there is some place you can change!
Before the day of your session, you will need to make sure you have your attire and any props you might want ready to go. Also have in mind any poses you want... it helps to look at samples and galleries online; keep a list of what you like, or print out examples. Your session is all about you, and you're in charge!


Fees:
Your fee is due the day your session takes place. Current prices are as follows:
Senior: $50
Engagement: $50
Baby/Children: $35
Family: $75
Maternity: $50

I am also available for other miscellaneous sessions, such as parties, team photos and other special events. If you are a realtor, I have previous experience in doing real estate photos and am available for that as well. Contact me to discuss details and fees.
Sessions will last up to two hours; anything over that will require an additional $10 per half hour.
Travel fees apply to anywhere more than 30 minutes from Clintonville; in most cases, the travel fee will be $20. If you plan to schedule a shoot in a location that requires more than 90 minutes of travel (one way), fees will be discussed. Please don't hesitate to come to me with any questions regarding travel fees!! 


Prints/CD's:
Once your session is completed, I will get to work editing your shots. Then it's your choice: you can have a proofs CD mailed to you (my logo will grace each shot- you have the option of purchasing a copyright-free CD as described below, which means there will be no logo), I can set up a temporary online gallery on this site or we can meet in person to view your proofs. It's up to you! Your photos will be printed using a professional printing service that provides superior quality prints. A full list of sizes and prices is available per your request; I am currently in the process of switching labs and don't have any new prices set just yet. In addition to prints, there will be other high-quality products available, including printed books. Since most of the specialty items won't be advertised, all you need to do is tell me what you're looking for and I can work with you regarding your specific requests.
Copyright-free CD's are a popular option- you get a CD with your finished photos so you can print out what you want, where you want. For some, this is a more convenient option. The cost of a copyright-free CD is $150. Keep in mind that this might be the better option for those on a budget with a lot of extended family!
Whatever you decide to do, prints or CD, 50% of your total payment is due at the placement of your order, with the remaining 50% due upon print delivery.
(One thing people will often ask photographers is why their prints, CD's and other items cost so much more than the things you can get through Walgreen's, Walmart, etc.; when it comes to prints, my professional lab offers superior quality! When comparing their prints next to 19-cent prints from a discount retailer, the difference is instantly noticeable. Your photos are precious to you, and spending a little more on high-quality prints will ensure that they last for years and years. Regarding the cost of CD's, the price reflects the hours and hours of editing and fine-tuning that is put into your photos to give you the best images possible. Consider that professionals to specialize only in photo retouching will charge upwards of $20 for basic edits per photo!)


A few other things you might like to know:
I never charge extra for editing your photos or converting them to black and white or sepia; no surprise fees!
If you need to reschedule your session, please let me know as soon as possible. the sooner you let me know, the more flexibility we have in finding another date and/or time.
You will be given a permission form to sign regarding using one or more images from your session for viewing by other clients. You do not have to sign this if you don't want to; kids under 18, you'll need a parent or guardian to sign for you!
Payments currently accepted are check, cash or PayPal.

**Birth Sessions: I am now offering photographic documentation of the birth of your precious little one; most popular is all black-and-white, but you may choose color if you'd like. You can purchase a session for yourself or as a gift... the resulting images will be one of the most precious keepsakes a parent can have. If you deliver in a hospital or birth center, you'll need to make sure that you have permission to have a photographer (usually it's just a matter of having your physician or care provider sign a consent form); if you deliver at home, you won't need to worry about that. The session includes labor, delivery and post-labor coverage as well as the CD of images. The cost of a Birth Session and CD is $180 (travel fee will apply for any distance over 45 minutes from Clintonville). A 50% deposit is required when you book a session, the other 50% is due when your CD is finished. Since babies arrive on their own time (unless you are having a scheduled Cesarean- please be triple-check on whether or not a photographer and camera is allowed in the operating room!!), you won't have a set day. Rather, you'll let me know what your due week is and we'll keep the weeks surrounding your due date flexible. All details will be covered upon inquiry. Please note that because of the sensitivity of the nature of birth sessions, no images will be shared in any way without your permission.
